Dr Michael Zaninovich

Dr Michael Zaninovich graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2004. In his final clinical year, he was awarded the Dental School Dean’s Award for outstanding performance in the Bachelor of Dental Surgery and the Endodontics Prize. He subsequently moved to Perth to be with his family in 2005 and worked for five years in a busy general private practice. During this time, he developed his interest in dental implants, oral surgery and full mouth rehabilitation.

He completed the Primary examinations in 2005 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2007. Wanting to further improve his skills and knowledge, he undertook a three-year full-time specialist training programme in Prosthodontics at The University of Adelaide in 2010.

At the Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists (AANZP) Biennial Conference in 2012 in Cairns, he was awarded the best presentation for his research into the rate of wear of ceramic restorations opposing tooth structure and restorative materials.

In 2015, Dr Zaninovich was accepted as a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), and in 2016 he was awarded Diplomate status.

At the 2016 International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) Autumn Meeting in Singapore, he received the First Prize for his presentation on “2 Hours Rapid Full Arch Immediate Loading Technique.”

Dr Zaninovich is an active member and WA President of the Australian Prosthodontic Society, lecturing locally and interstate on reconstructive prosthodontic therapy and implantology.

For the last 11 years, he has been the Principal Prosthodontist at Aria Dental Implant Centre and is highly regarded by patients and his peers in the dental community. He continues to actively pursue professional development courses worldwide to keep up to date with current advancements in oral implantology and maintain his high level of clinical skills and knowledge.
